Little Stanion Primary School Governing Body

Who are we?

Co-opted Governors
Mr Roger Jones (Chair of Governors)
I am a co-opted member of little Stanion governing body with the roles of chair of governors, health and safety representative and part or the the teachers and head teachers pay review and performance committees.  I have lived in little Stanion since 2010 and watched the community and school grow from strength to strength.  I am proud to represent the school and welcome any views on how we can continue to develop not only in terms of education of our children but also as part of this great community.

Ms Elspeth Brooks
I am a co-opted member of Little Stanion Governing Body and have been a resident of the village for almost 3 years.  I am married with two adult ‘children’ and now am waiting in vain to become a grandparent!!  We have moved around the country a great deal, our current home is the 11th in almost 37 years. Hopefully we are now settled as we are enjoying living in Little Stanion, becoming part of the community and appreciating the many amenities that are within easy reach.
I work for Northamptonshire County Council’s Education Authority as an Education Improvement Officer, a role that I love since I am passionate about Early Years Education.  Assisting nurseries, pre schools and teachers of year one and two to provide the very best education and care for their children can be challenging but is always rewarding. I also work as a tutor and initial teacher training assessor at the University of Northampton.
I enjoy my role in as a governor of Little Stanion Primary School as I feel it is a great privilege to be part of a team that is totally dedicated to providing the best education and opportunities for every child who attends the school.

Mrs Jackie Sandy (School Business Manager)
I am proud to be part of the staff from the beginning as well as being part of the Governing Body.  My role previously for 11 years as Business Manager at Corby Old Village Primary School gave me the experience needed to set up Finance and Administrative systems for a new school.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey and my role has developed as a strategic vital link between parents/staff/pupils/governors and outside agencies.  Although I have an administrative role I am very much part of school life, having other duties such as First Aider/Educational visits Co-ordinator and supporting the school in extra-curricular activities/trips etc.

Mr Charlie Anson
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read a little more about the school governors of Little Stanion Primary School. My name’s Charlie Anson I’m part of the Head Teacher’s Pay Review Committee and the School Management Committee. I’m a Co-opted Governor and have an active role in the Little Stanion Village Association, helping to bring events to the local area, such as the Big Lunch, and Christmas events. This has helped build relationships with families who live in Little Stanion. Being part of the Governing Body gives the school a direct link to community events and the day to day happenings of area.

LA Governor
Mr Adrian Smith
I have been the Local Authority Governor since early in 2017 and was very proud and excited to be asked to take on this role.  I have two children at Little Stanion - my daughter was part of the first Reception intake and my son started in September 2016.  I have seen the school mature and flourish from the beginning and I feel a strong, longstanding connection with Little Stanion Primary that will only intensify.
I hope to bring lots of enthusiasm and new ideas to the governing body, and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the governors in providing an environment that will enable the children, staff and parents to continue to thrive and grow.

Parent Governors
Mrs Rachael Chapman
I have been part of Little Stanion for the past 6 years and watched the school grow from strength to strength.  I work at the Corby International Pool as an Aquatic Officer.  I have worked in the leisure industry for 25 years managing various facilities and programmes.  I'm driven as a person to achieve the best in all aspects, and am very exceited to be working as a governor for the school.

Mrs Anna Myskow
I have been a Governor since 2011, before we had a school and was on the interview panel for the Head Teacher's position.
Currently, I am the Governor for English and I am on the Management Committee.

Mr James Mullin
I am a parent member of Little Stanion Governing Body and have been a resident of the village for a little over 2 years.  I live in Little Stanion with my wife Laura, and our 3 boys who all attend the school.  I am a registered adult and mental health nurse and I have worked in healthcare since I was 16.  I work for the Care Quality Commission as Head of Hospital inspections for mental health, a role that I love.
I enjoy my role as a governor of Little Stanion Primary School and I feel very privileged to work in partnership with such dedicated and hard working staff and governor group.

Mr John Lattimore
I moved to Little Stanion in May 2014 and becamed a member of the Little Stanion Village Association soon thereafter because I wanted to get to know the local community and see what I could do to help develop our village.  I currently serve on the LSVA Management Committee as Communications Officer.  I originate from Kent where I worked for the County Council for 40 years before retiring in 2008.  Most of my time with KCC was in education where I had responsibility for the maintenance and development of school buildings.  I believe employment background, and my interest in village affairs, makes me a suitable person to serve as a School Governor.

Mrs Ugochi Ogunbusola
I became a parent governor in mid 2017 after moving to Corby in 2016.  I see being a parent governor as a way of establishing myself with the community.  I also look forward to learning from other parent governors and the school community.

Miss Claudia Frost (Headteacher)
I was part of the Senior Leadership team which opened Little Stanion Primary School in 2012.  I have built and developed a creative curriculum which motivates and challenges all children.  Our school ethos is very much built around being the best person you can be.  My personal aim is for every child to reach their potential whatever that may be and building a school which embraces diversity.
