Little Stanion Primary School Governing Body
Who are we?
Co-opted Governors
Mr Roger Jones
I am a co-opted member of little Stanion governing body with the roles of chair of governors, health and safety representative and part or the the teachers and head teachers pay review and performance committees. I have lived in little Stanion since 2010 and watched the community and school grow from strength to strength. I am proud to represent the school and welcome any views on how we can continue to develop not only in terms of education of our children but also as part of this great community.
Mrs Jackie Sandy (School Business Manager)
I am proud to be part of the staff from the beginning as well as being part of the Governing Body. My role previously for 11 years as Business Manager at Corby Old Village Primary School gave me the experience needed to set up Finance and Administrative systems for a new school. I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey and my role has developed as a strategic vital link between parents/staff/pupils/governors and outside agencies. Although I have an administrative role I am very much part of school life, having other duties such as First Aider/Educational visits Co-ordinator and supporting the school in extra-curricular activities/trips etc.
Mrs Jen Burns (Staff Governor)
I have been working at Little Stanion Primary School since 2014. The school has grown during this time and is a lovely community school. I believe the voice of a child is important and have an interest in wellbeing, nurture and outdoor learning. Before my life at Little Stanion Primary School, I worked in the scientific industry for 13 years. I am a mother to two girls, love reading, listening to music, going for walks and eating the occasional chocolate bar!
Mr Adrian Smith (Chair of Governors)
I have been the Local Authority Governor since early in 2017 and was very proud and excited to be asked to take on this role. I have two children at Little Stanion - my daughter was part of the first Reception intake and my son started in September 2016. I have seen the school mature and flourish from the beginning and I feel a strong, longstanding connection with Little Stanion Primary that will only intensify.
I hope to bring lots of enthusiasm and new ideas to the governing body, and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the governors in providing an environment that will enable the children, staff and parents to continue to thrive and grow.
Parent Governors
Mrs Rachael Chapman
I have been part of Little Stanion for the past 6 years and watched the school grow from strength to strength. I work at the Corby International Pool as an Aquatic Officer. I have worked in the leisure industry for 25 years managing various facilities and programmes. I'm driven as a person to achieve the best in all aspects, and am very exceited to be working as a governor for the school.
Mr Paul Fazackerley
As both a parent and local resident, I have a vested interest in the school excelling and making the most of its potential. I am current Vice Chair of the governors, complimenting my service to the governing body since 2016. As a financial adviser by profession, I am also well placed to be the Chair of the Finance Committee, holding to account the tight budget control of the school. I am enthusiastic to ensure every child has the best opportunites to be the best they can, inside and outside the classroom.
Mr Lewis Kirk
Living in Little Stanion and having two children who attend Little Stanion Primary School in Reception and Year One, it is a great opportunity to be able to serve as a parent Governor. I am new to the position and have much to learn, but with the support network available and my enthusiasm to make a difference, I hope to do just that.
Mr James Mullin
Hi, my name is James and I am a newly appointed parent governor of Little Stanion Primary School. I live in Little Stanion with my wife, Laura & our 3 children; Finlay (10), Harry (7), & Fergus (5)
When I'm not at work, I love being with my family, going fishing, playing football, running, going to concerts or music festivals and watching movies. I am also devoted to the world's greatest football club; Heart of Midlothian FC.
I've worked in Healthcare since I was 16 where I began as a Healthcare Assistant in a Nursing Home in my hometown of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. I have been a registered adult & mental health nurse since 2003 and I've worked in a variety of settings across the NHS and independent sector. Currently, I am Assistant Director of Adult Services for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
I'm very much looking forward to my role as a governor. I have a special interest in mental health & wellbeing as well as school Governance and my aim is to assist the school as it continuously improves and builds upon the outcome of the recent Ofsted visit.
Mrs Naomi Diaz-Osborn
I am a co-opted member of the Governing Body and I have also taken on the role of Data Governor. I am analytically minded, by nature and professionally, and hope to bring these skills to my role as Governor. I live in the village with my family. My daughter and son joined the school in its inaugural year as Year 3 and Reception pupils, respectively. They both enjoyed their time at LSPS and thrived in this inclusive and engaging environment. I have watched the school develop and grow, from the perspective of both a parent and also a formed school Governor. I am pleased to have been asked to return to the Governing Body and I look forward to offering all that I can to this caring and vibrant community.
Mr Ian Weaver
I am delighted to represent the parents of Little Stanion Primary School. I have two children that attend the school; my daughter has just started in Reception and my son is now in Year 4. I hope to be able to represent the other parents, making sure that the school provides the best possible opportunities and experiences, both academically and socially, for all our children.
Headteacher
Mrs Claudia Tate
I was part of the Senior Leadership team which opened Little Stanion Primary School in 2012. I have built and developed a creative curriculum which motivates and challenges all children. Our school ethos is very much built around being the best person you can be. My personal aim is for every child to reach their potential whatever that may be and building a school which embraces diversity.
