Admissions

Little Stanion Primary School admissions are managed by Northamptonshire County Council.

Places will be allocated to children who have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan which names the school as offering the appropriate provision.

Oversubscription Criteria:

1. Children in public care or previously in public care but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, child arrangements order or special guardianship order.

2. Pupils who live in the linked area* and who have a brother or sister** continuing at the school at the time of admission of the child.

3. Other pupils who live in the linked area*

4. Other pupils who do not live in the linked area* and who have a brother or sister** continuing at the school at the time of admission of the child.

5. Other pupils.

Allocation up to Pupil Admission Number (PAN)

If the admission number is exceeded within any criterion, priority will be given to those who live closest to the school.  Distances will be determined by the Local Authority measured on a straight-line basis using a geographical information system.

Tiebreaker

Where two or more applications cannot otherwise be separated, random allocation will be used to decide which child should be allocated a place.

*Linked Area:

The linked area is defined as the new development of houses at the Little Stanion site.

**Brother or Sister - also known as Sibling:

Siblings are defined in these arrangements as children who live as brother or sister at the same permanent address, including natural brothers or sisters, adopted siblings, stepbrothers or sisters and foster brothers and sisters.  Cousins are not regarded as siblings for the purpose of School Admissions.
