Meet the Governors
Adrian SmithChair of Governors and Health and Safety Governor
I have been the Local Authority Governor since 2017 and was very proud and excited to be asked to take on this role. I have a child at Little Stanion. I have seen the school mature and flourish from the beginning and I feel a strong, longstanding connection with Little Stanion Primary that will only intensify.
Ian WeaverAssessment Governor and Parent Governor
I have two children at Little Stanion Primary and I am delighted to represent the parents. I hope to be able to ensure that the school provides the best possible opportunities and experiences, both academically and socially, for all our children.
Paul FazackerleyStaff Development Governor
As both a parent and local resident, I have a vested interest in the school excelling and making the most of its potential. As a financial adviser by profession, I am also well placed to be the Chair of the Finance Committee, holding to account the tight budget control of the school. I am enthusiastic to ensure every child has the best opportunities to be the best they can, inside and outside the classroom.
Lewis KirkSafeguarding Governor
Living in Little Stanion and having two children who attend Little Stanion Primary School in Reception and Year One, it is a great opportunity to be able to serve as a parent Governor. I am new to the position and have much to learn, but with the support network available and my enthusiasm to make a difference, I hope to do just that.
Sharon ToyerInclusion and Community Governor
I am a recently retired Deputy Director of children's health services across Northamptonshire and am pleased to be able to bring my experience and perspective into the role of Community Governor at Little Stanion Primary.
I am passionate about promoting children's wellbeing, including both emotional and physical wellbeing and ensuring that children feel safe and listened to.
I am the proud Grandma of 6 wonderful grandchildren, 3 of whom attend the School. I look forward to seeing all children flourish at Little Stanion.
Helen KingEYFS Governor and Parent Governor
My son joined Little Stanion Primary from the age of 3 in the Nursery and left school last summer to move on to High School. He thrived in the school's environment. Myself and my son have always felt supported by the teachers, fellow parents and the school. I wanted to part of the decisions that have a positive impact on education and school life, helping both the children, parents and the school alike to develop ideas and put those ideas into practice.
I really enjoy being involved in the local community. I regularly help out at 1st Corby Scouting Group and am often found at the side of a football pitch cheering on the team.
I have also been involved in the school as part of the FOLs team for many years. I have really enjoyed this role and helped out at school events at Christmas, school plays and the summer fete.
I have a strong belief in giving children maximum opportunities to discover their full potential through education and extra curriculum activities. I have worked in sales and marketing for many years and believe that my skills in my current role enable me to bring a lot to the position of parent governor and further develop areas within the school.
Jackie SandyCo-opted Governor
I am proud to be part of the staff from the beginning in 2012. My role has developed as a strategic vital link between parents/staff/pupils/governors and outside agencies. Although I have a finance role, I am very much part of school life, having other duties such as First Aider/Educational visits Co-ordinator and supporting the school in extra-curricular activities/trips etc.
Jen BurnsStaff Governor
I have been working at Little Stanion Primary School since 2014. The school has grown during this time and is a lovely community school. I believe the voice of a child is important and have an interest in wellbeing, nurture and outdoor learning. Before my life at Little Stanion Primary School, I worked in the scientific industry for 13 years. I am a mother to two girls, love reading, listening to music, going for walks and eating the occasional chocolate bar!
Lou SadlerDeputy Headteacher
I began my Little Stanion journey in 2015 and have loved every second of it. I am passionate about learning in the outdoors and the impact that an active curriculum can have on children's well being and attitude. I love taking our wonderful children to sports competitions and am always proud of their impeccable behaviour and enjoyment at representing our school!
