Having spent some years teaching internationally, I was thrilled to return to the UK to teach at Little Stanion Primary School. As teachers, we are encouraged to be creative and make learning fun and engaging for the pupils in our class. Being at the top end of the school, I have the privilege of teaching our pupils before they embark on their secondary school adventure.

I was warmly welcomed into the Little Stanion family in April 2023, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. After 6 years of teaching EYFS and KS1 in Cambridgeshire, I found the perfect place to continue my teaching journey. Each day is full of fun and laughter; creating an environment where children and staff can thrive. I particularly love all the opportunities and experiences the children are given, from taking care of school animals, to school sleepovers and a wide range of trips. I really enjoy teaching the younger children and supporting them to flourish into determined, independent learners.

My journey began at Little Stanion Primary School in 2014, as a Teaching Assistant, developing into a HLTA. However, this path led me towards university in 2016, where I achieved my Qualified Teacher Status. I am honoured to have been able to return in 2019 as a class teacher. I love working here, alongside the children! I feel privileged to have been able to return to such a wonderful school.

I began my job at Little Stanion Primary as a lunch time supervisor in 2013. Shortly after, I decided to further my career by joining the nursery which I have always wanted to do. I then started to study level 2 in early years and currently I am in the process to become level 3 qualified to enable me to become the best nursery practitioner I can be.

I started working at Little Stanion Primary School in November 2021 as a Teaching Assistant. I feel very grateful and proud to be part of the Little Stanion team. When I first looked around the school, I instantly felt at ease as everybody was super friendly and welcoming. I very much enjoy an Early Years atmosphere and all the opportunities and challenges it brings. I feel it is extremely rewarding to support children as they develop their areas of learning, and it is amazing to watch them reach their potential.

I began my Little Stanion journey in 2017 as an apprentice teaching assistant and I am currently studying to complete my level 3 apprenticeship in sport. I have a passion for sport and fitness and how it helps the pupils to explore and develop through all years. My highlight of my time at Little Stanion was having the privilege to take a group of talented pupils to the county finals after winning the Welland Valley sports in 2019!

I have been with Little Stanion Primary School since November 2021. Before this I worked as Learning Mentor in a Secondary Academy. I have a vast experience of working with SEND students with a focus on Autism and Dyslexia. I believe each child has to find their own journey through learning and I am here to guide them on that path if it seems challenging at times.
Little Stanion Primary is one huge family and I have been welcomed since day one from both staff and students. As a parent myself, I can look at teaching from an academic and parental view point. I thoroughly enjoy working with all of the children, supporting their progression and celebrating their achievements!

I love being outside and sharing that passion with the children at Little Stanion Primary School. I lead Outdoor Learning sessions that are designed to teach the children new skills, improve their confidence and, most of all, are fun! Whether we are dipping in the pond for minibeasts, learning about the birds that visit the playground or getting muddy creating natural art, we are learning together and connecting with the nature that surrounds us.

I started at Little Stanion in November 2021 as a Lunchtime Supervisor which I enjoyed very much and from there I did some cleaning and eventually moved to the cleaning role on a permanent basis. Bertie and Toddie live at school full time. They love coming out for a walk and to eat the grass! They are very friendly, love a stroke and sometimes a little bit naughty! We have a goat crew of year 6 children that look after them during the week including mucking out and feeding them.

The chickens are a new addition for 2023. They live in the EYFS area and love a cuddle. The children are learning all about them including caring for them, we are hoping they will lay eggs later in the year and the children can cook some delicious treats with the eggs.
